Broadway's Rita Moreno will star in a Latino family reboot of Norman Lear's classic 1970's sitcom comedy ONE DAY AT A TIME from Sony Pictures TV. The series was picked up by Netflix for a 13-episode straight-to-series order.
According to the report, the multi-camera comedy will follow "a Cuban-American family, centering on a recently separated former military mom who is navigating a new single life while raising her radical teenaged daughter and socially adept tween son, with the "help" of her old school Cuban-born mom and a friends-without-benefits building manager named Schneider." Moreno will portray the grandmother of the family.
