If you buy the DVD of the West Side Story movie, you will also find a short documentary about the making of the movie, featuring Arthur Laurents, Stephen Sondheim and Harold Prince. Our October 9th event is not that documentary. This unreleased film is an hour-long look at the movie from the dancers’ point of view, and features many scenes shot by cast member and host Harvey Evans. Tickets for this and all major DO40 events will be available by Telecharge (information to follow, below). Members, $20.00, non-members, $40.00. This is one of our two events NOT held on a Monday night. The date is Sunday, October 9th, 2pm at St. Luke’s Theater, 308 West 46th Street.

Dancers Over 40 presents a 50th Anniversary surprise for lovers of West Side Story – and especially, the movie! Not only is this the first time DO40 has presented a full-length documentary for it’s Fall event, but we have WSS cast member Harvey Evans hosting and DO40 members from the movie participating as well!
